Music i made in garageband for something called victors crypt. Use it if you wanna. This turned out a bit jazzy much because of the double bass and piano. After recording trains crossing the adjacent tracks i turned the microphones southwest towards the intersection of harrison and wabash. Traffic was heavy and drivers were frequently blowing their horns at each other. A couple of vehicles playing loud music stop at the light. Time of recording was 5:57pm. Weather was warm, in the 80s. Recording details: 2 audio technica at4022s in rycote windshields > sound devices 302 mixer > tascam dr-40 recorder.

*warning* --- you may want to turn your volume down*this was accidently created when i was goofing around trying to convert an iso file. It was actually for the movie "a beautiful mind". When the conversion started i wanted to see what it looked like so far and this is what i got out of it. I didn't want to delete it because it sounded so cool. . . . Almost like what a computer world might sound like or "a computer's brain". But anyways i figured maybe someone else might want a sound like this too. I might use it someday myself.

This was recorded in the centre of oxford, near the junction between broad street and turl street, on 23rd february 2013. I was facing west along broad street with turl street, and the pavement, to my left. There are many different sounds on this recording including bikes being parked (i was standing near a bike rack) and ridden, cars lurking for a parking space, dropping people off and turning round (broad street has a car park in the middle of it), plenty of different people walking past and talking, and a big issue seller. There is the occasional bit of wind noise, but not as much as i'd feared (luckily the wind was behind me). Recorded with a marantz pmd661 with built-in microphones.

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully don't turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. This is traffic on hwy 134 (next to walt disney studios / warner brothers studios) recorded while standing on the hollywood way overpass on 11/16/2018 in burbank, ca. Surprisingly, traffic flow was pretty good and i would assume cars were traveling around 40 to 50 mph. Enjoy,. Christopher c. Courter.

The sound of a construction worker operating a concrete road saw on a rainy day is heard in this recording. The recording begins with the saw already in operation, then is shut off and shortly restarted. He makes a couple of passes on the section of road he is working on and turns the machine off. A nearby siren is also heard at the end, so the shutdown at the head can be used as an alternative. Gear: zoom h6, xyh-6 x/y capsule (120 degree stereo image), rycote windjammer. Alarm bell from a bank robbery. Taken from the 1956 film "no road back" starring paul carpenter and margaret rawling and directed by montgomery tully. From my understanding and research of copyright law, this film was never copyrighted, as it came out before july 1957, which is when the british first started to have copyrights for film and broadcast. Any films or broadcasts that came out before july 1957 in the uk are not copyrighted. If it turns out that for some reason i am wrong, i am happy to take this recording down, but i've looked into it pretty extensively and i'm pretty sure i'm in the clear here.

My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore.
